All the Best presented at coproduction market Baltic Event All the Best presented at coproduction market Baltic Event

Our producer Ankica Juric Tilic participated at coproduction market Baltic Event with the feature film project in development All the Best that took place from 26th till 28th of November.

Baltic Event, the largest regional film market in the North-Eastern Europe, takes place during Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. First introduced in 2002, it has highlighted an amazing array of feature film projects, many of which have to date premiered and enjoyed successful runs in the festival circuit, cinemas, and television. While working closely with other markets and film industry activities all over Europe, the Baltic Event is designed for producers from the countries with low audiovisual production capacity.

All the Best is a romantic comedy with singing. Pre-Christmas time, four lonely people, poisoned gingerbread cookies and four destinies which after some one hundred minutes of the movie become happier.

The film is written and to be directed by Snjezana Tribuson.

The Reaper, film in development to be directed by Zvonimir Juric was selected to participate at Les Arcs co-pro market. Zvonimir Juric, whose debut feature The Blacks co-directed with Goran Devic was Croatian Foreign Language Oscar submission last year, will unveil his first solo feature The Reaper, revolving around the complex character of convicted rapist Ivo.

Today was the last shooting day of the short fiction film Zovko Teleport directed by Predrag Licina. The rest of the crew is consisted of producer Ankica Juric Tilic, DOP Mario Sablic, art director Ivan Veljaca, costume designer Zrinka Marekovic, make-up artist Martina Novakoviæ, editor Tomisalv Pavlic and actors Linda Begonja, Kresimir Mikic, Bojan Navojec, Dado Cosic, Ana Stunic, Nina Romac and Rene Rehak.

The plot of this comedy is set in the future and the film is coquetting with the science fiction genre.

Feature film Daddy directed by Dalibor Matanic was called to the Indian festival IFF Chennai Tamil Nadu and Spanish Zoom Igualada Festival. Spanish festival will be held in Barcelona from the 28th of November to the 2nd of December and Indian one in city of Chennai from the 13th till the 20th December 2012.

The shooting of "The Mysterious Boy" completed The shooting of "The Mysterious Boy" completed

On Tuesday, 30th of October, the shooting of the feature film for children The Mysterious Boy ended. The film is directed by Drazen Zarkovic in production of Kinorama and Croatian Radiotelevision.
The film has been filmed on locations in Zagreb and Karlovac during the September and October and the last day of shooting took place on the shore of river Sava where many actions scenes were captured.
The film will be presented to audience in couple of months - the film crew is hoping for the same great results similar to those that had previous film Koko and the Ghosts.

Collaborational laboratory – Collab is an interactive platform by Dot that Spot intended for promotional and cooperative purposes among audiovisual professionals. Project aims to introduce the audience and artists with innovative approach in contemporary audiovisual industry.
Divided in two main categories - animated film and fiction, project will present eight artists from the film making sector whose audiovisual work, in terms of exploring the use of either sound or visuals, has qualified them as representatives of contemporary art movement. Among them also our short animated film The Room directed by Ivana Juric. The cinema will take place from 13th till 17th October.

Festival Message to Man was founded to emphasize the important role of non-feature films in cultural life of the country and allow national documentary filmmakers become more familiar with the world of international cinema. However, with years, the goals of the Festival had broadened and as a result, short fiction and animated films were added to the competition program. This year the Festival also makes a new step toward experimental films. Every year the Festival presents over 50 Russian premieres and more than 300 films from around the world are screened in competition and special programs. On average the Festival receives over 3000 films for selection each year.
This year, the festival included our short experimental film From To by director M. Herceg in the programme "International Experimental Films Competition In Silico". In the same category award Centaur will be given.

On Sunday, 16th of September at 9:45 pm broadcasting of the 1st episode of sitcom Sunday Morning, Saturday Evening directed by Predrag Licina began. Sunday Morning, Saturday Evening is a sitcom taking place in a neighbourhood. The humour is not too politically correct, the protagonists are not too typical and the situations not too usual. It is hard to believe that the situations have originated in the real life although, in most cases, they really have.

12th of September was the first shooting day for childen's feature film The Mysterious Boy directed by Drazen Zarkovic. Similar to previous film Koko and the Ghosts, this film is also based on the book for children written by Ivan Kusan. Screenwriter of The Mysterious Boy is Hana Jusic and the film is being produced by Kinorama and Croatian Radiotelevision. The Brazilian Kids Film Festival´s goal is to broaden and stimulate the Brazilian youth´s interest in high quality and culturally diverse films. In addition, the Festival promotes dialogue between international filmmakers and the Brazilian market to increase availability of international children´s films in Brazil. Since 1999 the Seoul International Youth Film Festival has provided a venue for youths to share their culture via films and media education. This year's 13th edition will screen our film Koko and the Ghosts directed by Daniel Kusan. Festival has an average attendance of 10 000 people; total number of films submitted is around 700 (short and feature films) out of which 50 is accepted to be the part of the festival.

On Saturday opened European Film Festival Palic in Serbia at which will be presented our film for children Koko and the Ghosts directed by Daniel Kusan in Children's programme. The International Film Festival Palic was founded in 1992 by the Municipality of Subotica. In the year 2003, with its 10th edition, it became a European Film Festival and a member of the European Coordination of Film Festivals. Today the festival is one of most important film festivals in this region and one of the few in the world with 100% European content.

Mezzanine awarded again Mezzanine awarded again

Multimedial festival Sound and Visions in Majdanpek in it's third edition from June 29th till July 1st presented various programme of short fictions films, visual interventions, classes about free software and it's implementation in creating art work. Similar to previous years, the only competition programme included short fiction films - the selector Dalibor Knezica selected the best art creations of the region. The jury who consisted of Purisa Djordjevic, Sasa Radojevic and Petar Mitric, decided to award our short fiction film Mezzanine by Dalibor Matanic for the best film of the festival. The film was awarded with Zlatna damper guma award, along with the money prize.

Two Oktavijans for Kinorama's films Two Oktavijans for Kinorama's films

At just ended film festival Dani hrvatskog filma, Croatian Association of Film Critics awarded two Kinorama's films with Oktavijan award. The films in question are: short film From To directed by Miranda Herceg for the best experimental film, and short animated film for opening credits of fiction film Koko and the Ghosts animated by Alen Vukovic. The screenplay is written by film's director Daniel Kusan, the lead animator is Alen Vukovic and author of the artistic solution is Booboo. The 3D2D studio produced this awarded film opening sequence.

Croatian cinematography will be on show at the Aero Theatre in Los Angeles from 13 to 15 April. Today we started the shooting of TV series "Sunday Morning, Saturday Evening" produced by both Kinorama and B produkcija for Croatian Radiotelevision. The director of the humoristic series is Predrag Licina, and the comedy is located in Novi Zagreb. The Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center included our short animated film The Room directed by Ivana Juric in the 41st edition of New Directors/New Films.

ND/NF has showcased the work of emerging artists for over 40 years, and continues to celebrate the most innovative voices in filmmaking.
New Directors has earned an international reputation as the premier festival for work that breaks or re-casts the cinematic mold, and is dedicated to the discovery and support of emerging artists. It is non-competitive, yet highly selective – only 29 features and a dozen shorts have been shown this year and all films must be New York premieres.

Animated film The Room is a stop-motion animation that explores sensuality and sex through the eyes of a doll. The film was screened on 24th and 25th of March in shorts program.

Our short animated film The Room directed by Ivana Juric wins another recognition. Film was bought by French-German renown TV channel ARTE which in the category of new directors selects only five or six film titles per year. The Room has been screened yesterday in the Court-Circuit programme. The film is currently included on the ARTE's official web site 'La télévision de rattrapage' - catch up TV.

The jury of the Lithuanian Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris selected the film Mezzanine directed by Dalibor Matanic in the contest programme. Festival is taking place in the Lithuanian capital city of Vilnius from 15th untill 29th March. Kino Pavasaris is the biggest and most important cinema event in Lithuania. The festival is witnessing an increase in attendance, which was over 64.000 in the last year's 16th edition.

Our children's fiction film Koko and the Ghosts directed by Daniel Kusan will be shown at renowned Montréal International Children's Film Festival. Screenings of the film are programmed for today and tomorrow, and film be presented to the Montreal audience by the director Daniel Kusan.

The FIFEM offers over 50 of the best movies for children: comedies, drama and animation from the four corners of the globe, not to mention film education workshops and meetings and autograph sessions with actors and directors. Target audience of the festival are children from 2 to 12 years, and each year festival is visited by 15 000 viewers.

Mezzanine, the short fiction film directed by Dalibor Matanic, is invited to participate at te annual short film festival Psarokokalo where it will be presented today and tomorrow in the capital city of Greece - Athens. The festival program includes screenings of short films from Greece and abroad as well as audiovisual events, masterclasses, exhibitions and live concerts.

Our very much successful childrens' film Koko and the Ghosts directed by debutant Daniel Kusan, from 16th January is being distributed in Bosnia and Herzegovina and from 26th January in Lithuania.

Daddy at French FIPA Biarritz film festival Daddy at French FIPA Biarritz film festival

The film Daddy directed by Dalibor Matanic will be screened today at French FIPA Biarritz film festival. Last year's edition awarded the previous Matanic's film Mother of Asphalt with three awards: for the best film, winning FIPA d'or in drama section; Marija Skaricic was awarded best actress and Jura Ferina and Pavao Miholjevic won FIPA d'or for the best original soundtrack. In that respect, Mother of Asphalt was the apsolute winner of the festival.
